The Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ratified Bilateral Agreements With CIS Partners

Today, under the chairmanship of the head of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maulen Ashimbaev , a meeting of the chamber was held, at which bilateral agreements with partners in the CIS were ratified.

In particular, the senators considered and adopted the law “On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on the provision of military-technical assistance in ensuring the security of the Central Asian region.”

Commenting on this law, Maulen Ashimbaev said that the head of state, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, is on an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic. “It is planned that a number of important agreements will be reached within the framework of this visit. The law that we considered and adopted today also provides for strengthening cooperation between the two fraternal states, including in the military-technical sphere. The agreement is aimed at maintaining stability and security in Central Asia,” he said.

The senators also adopted the law “On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on trade and economic cooperation in the field of supply of petroleum products to the Republic of Armenia”.

As specified in the press service of the chamber, the document is aimed at creating the necessary conditions for the implementation by Kazakh enterprises of the supply of goods, with the exception of oil, electricity, natural gas and coal to Armenia.
